At TriHD, we know that life can get busy, with challenging projects and packed agendas. That’s why we believe it’s important to balance peak moments with times to recharge, no matter how big or small. Stepping away from the screen, taking a short walk, or having a chat with a colleague: these little breaks give us fresh energy, new ideas, and renewed focus.
Having the freedom to choose between working at a client’s office or from home also helps create a balance that truly works.
Real balance comes from trust and freedom
Freedom to shape your own work
For Eva Pelacuer, Project Consultant Human Development, balance is mainly about trust. “You’re given the space to plan your work in consultation with the client, in a way that works for you. Because there’s trust in your responsibility,” she explains.
A culture that cares
What Eva appreciates most about the TriHD approach? That it’s not an empty promise.
“The best part is that the organization is really serious about it. It’s not just something on our website. There is a genuine culture of trust and personal growth paths, with support where you need it. You’re encouraged to grow, step out of your comfort zone, and do the things that energize you, both at work and outside of it. And that makes all the difference.”
Eva also sees the effect of this culture in her daily work: a healthy mix of operational and project-based tasks, alternating with moments of reflection, discussions, or simply laughing with colleagues. That variety ensures she still has energy left, even after busy days.
The best part is: after work, I don’t feel drained. I have energy left to truly live my evenings.
Flexibility that truly makes a difference
Balance in working hours and location
For Michiel Verborgt, Senior Project Consultant in Bookkeeping and Controlling at TriFinance, a healthy work-life balance is the key to starting every project with full energy. “It’s about being able to switch gears: peak moments require focus and drive, but you also need to take time to recharge. At TriFinance, you’re encouraged to pause and reflect between projects. That gives me the strength to take on new challenges,” he explains.
That balance becomes tangible through flexibility in hours and location. Thanks to the homeworking policy, Michiel usually works about two days a week from home. This means less time in the car and more peace of mind during the week. On top of that, the flexible reward system allows him to purchase up to ten extra vacation days per year, adding up to a total of 42 days off.
Balance is not only in free time, but also in feeling in control of your own schedule. That confidence allows me to get the best out of myself.
Becoming a father and finding a new rhythm
For Michiel, flexibility became even more crucial when he became a father last year:
“Thanks to this flexibility, I can align my working hours with my personal life. This way I manage to take my daughter to daycare as well as do my work with full focus. TriFinance truly puts people first: your life and ambitions shape your career path.”
Michiel recharges in different ways: long walks and bike rides in nature, camping in simplicity, or a spontaneous city trip to break the routine. “Discovering new places gets me out of the daily grind and gives me fresh energy to tackle my projects,” he says.
